WHAT TO EXPECT

Step 1: Attend your Free Consultation
Length: 20 minutes
You’ll meet with Dr. Jafari and discuss what you’re looking for help with and ask any questions you may have. The purpose of the free consultation is to see if this is a good fit for you. Commonly discussed topics are: how long it will take to see results, what types of treatments (acupuncture and/or Chinese herbal medicine) are more appropriate for your case, and cost estimates.
If you choose to move forward, your next step is to schedule your initial treatment appointment. If you want to get started asap, we can schedule the free consult & initial treatment on the same day if the schedule permits.
Step 2: Initial Treatment Appointment
Length: 60-90 minutes [for acupuncture] / 30-45 minutes [herbal medicine only]
This is your first treatment appointment. You’ll have a more in-depth conversation about your concerns. Then you’ll undergo the prescribed treatment. At the end of the visit, we’ll go over your treatment plan which will explain how often to come in along with any homework that will help assist your recovery.
Follow-up acupuncture treatments are generally around 45-60 minutes.
Tips
Please wear or bring loose fitting, comfortable clothes to your treatment appointments. It makes evaluation and treatments easier.
Make sure to eat a light meal within a few hours of your acupuncture session, and refrain from strenuous exercise or alcohol for at least 3 hours after acupuncture.
